Maedeup Monday
Since returning from Anaheim, I've been doing a lot of maedeup. These bracelets are dorae and garakji maedeup. The garakji maedeup I bought pre-made at the maedeup shop in Seoul. I didn't buy too many before we left but I'm thinking about buying more when I visit Korea and carrying them in my Etsy shop. You can easy add them to your maedeup by using a loop turner.
One of my best friend's mom is turning 60 and Rocketman and I have been invited to her party. I made this necklace using a chilbo (Korean enameling) piece I bought from my chilbo teacher. I hope she likes it!
A different style from the other bracelets but still using dorae and garakji maedeup.
I went to JoAnn's today to pick up a few things and I even had a list with me. Why do I always leave that store with a bag full? I don't know how it happens. It's like I enter into a trance-like state and I impulse buy. I had hoped when I returned from South Korea that I would have broken this habit but I haven't yet.
Too bad you're not selling that neckless, I would have bought it in a heart beat!
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch of pendants from her and they are just sitting in a box waiting for me to get to them. I need to get on that.
ReplyDeleteWow...your stuff is so beautiful. So the dorae stuff is pre-knotted? That's cool...
ReplyDeleteSarah, it's the garakji (colored) maedeup that I bought. I can't wait to shop there again.
