Maedeup Monday!
Do you ever have one of those weeks when you need to get the oil changed in both of your cars? That's what I did last week, first the Toyota and then the Hyundai. I waited each time while they worked on the cars. The Toyota dealership (I had a coupon) was really busy. They even provided donuts and cookies. I always go early in the morning because I think it will be less crowded, it wasn't.
But just sitting has never been easy for me so I bring maedeup to work on. It makes the time go faster and I always get strange looks. I hope the strange looks come from curiosity of what I am doing. Sometimes someone will even ask. The waiting room was packed with people. They even had computer stations for those who brought their lab tops.
The Toyota took about a hour to finish.
The Hyundai dealer was a totally different experience. At first, I was the only one in the waiting room. Their waiting room didn't have any cookies or donuts and the television was stuck on a Minnesota Twins Sports Channel. Until that day I didn't even know there was such a thing.
Then a couple of older men came in and though I wanted to change the channel, I didn't. It was driving me crazy to hear nothing but news about the previous night's Twin's game in graphic detail.
But I got a lot of maedeup done. The Hyundai place finished in 1/2 hour.
