Korean Chasu (Embroidery) - Class #1
I started chasu this week and I was blown away with the pieces KJ, my chasu teacher, brough with her for my first class.
Chasu uses silk thread and is also done on silk material.
KJ uses a wooden picture frame instead of the usual embroidery hoop. She glues two sides and used metal thumbtacks to keep the silk taunt.
This is part of my homework. KJ's English is very good and I learned that she had spent two years in the U.S. teaching. She also teaches pojagi and since my current teacher spoke no English, I am switching and having KJ teach me both. I'm so excited about learning chasu.
