We made it to Minnesota on June 2nd and while we were being delayed two hours at the Narita airport in Japan, our grandson was being born. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 ozs. and was born at 1:30am on June 2nd. We stopped at home and dropped our luggage off and made our way to the hospital as quick as two blurry-eyed, jetlagged grandparents could. I don't know why I can't sleep in an airplane but I can't.
I couldn't wait to hold him! You can see in the background that we bought a "Pororo" stuffed animal for him from Korea. It's a hugely popular cartoon in South Korea and also a lot of other Asian countries.
Big brother, Noah, was so happy to finally see his little brother.
This is Ezra's mom, our daughter, Laura. She looks amazing after having just given birth earlier that day.
And here is Grandpa (AKA Rocketman) with the two little guys. We fly back on the 16th but until then, you know where you'll find me.
