I'm so glad to find this wonderful book on the women divers of Jeju Island. In Korea, they are called haenyeo or Korean female divers. These women dive 65 feet holding their breathe the gather seafood from the ocean floor. There are approximately 5600 women left and most are over the age of 60. This book is a fascinating look at their lives. I bought my copy here:
