This is a picture of a maedeup bracelet I've been working on. The first step is to create the knot and the second step is tightening the knot. Sometimes I find tightening as challenging as creating the knot. It is so much fun to see what it looks like when you are finished.

I also have some exciting news! I will be demoing maedeup on a Twin Cities television show called "Showcase Minnesota." It airs daily from 10:00am-11:00am on channel 11 and I will be appearing September 23, 2009. It has been a while since I've done any television and I am really looking forward to it.
Hi! I saw your article on the Yeogiyo and I'm definitely intrigued with maedeup. I'm in Korea now, been here for six months and looking for a hobby. My husband is the ESL teacher here, I'm the stay-at-home mom to my three year old daughter. I've always been into jewelry making so I figured this would be a good extention of that. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I'm not too far from Suwon as we live walking distance from Jukjeon station.
